Senior Network Engineer

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for our customer based in Boston, MA. This position is 95% remote. Traveling into Boston, MA occasionally is required. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Analyze, design, install, and support complex network solutions in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments 

• Responsible for architecting, configuring, and securing critical cloud and corporate network solutions 

• Deployment of various network devices and services which include SD-WAN, Load Balancers, Cisco routers, switches & firewalls (FTD & ASA w/ FirePower), FireSight MC, IPS/IDS, Wireless LAN, VPN, MPLS, Radius, and MFA 

• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixed and security configurations 

• Provide level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues 

• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure 

• Create and maintain network and DR documents and diagrams showcasing high availability, scalability, capacity, logical/physical and disaster recovery illustration 

• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with BBC's security team 

• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution requirements 

• Proven experience with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex networks 

• Deep knowledge in routing and switching to include multicast, OSPF, BGP, STP Proficient level and hands-on experience with Cisco Routing and Switching Product family (NX-OS & IOS) 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience in a relevant area of study with a preference for WAN/LAN technologies & configuration 

• 7-10 years of IT experience in an enterprise operational environment with Cisco Networking, Firewall & Wireless 

• Occasional travel (< 50%) to customers, sales locations, etc. 

• Preferred Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP 

• Desired Network certifications such as CCIE 

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networks 

• Knowledge of designing and building cloud network infrastructure inclusive of Azure Firewall, Azure Network Security Groups, and Express routes 

• Employee may be required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds 

• Expert knowledge of routing protocols in a mixed environment (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, and etc) 

• Knowledge of VLAN technology, VTP & STP protocols 

• Experience in managing NextGen Cisco FTD and ASA firewalls with FirePower 

• Knowledge of T1, SD-WAN and MPLS ethernet technologies 

• Experience in VoIP/SAP and QoS tagging 

• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model 

• Experience in installation and configuration of physical and virtual switches in VMWare virtual environment 

• Packet capture and analysis experience (Sniffer, Wireshark, etc.) 

• Solid understanding of information security and computer systems concepts, encryption protocols, and networking protocols 

• Practical experience working with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure
