Senior Network Engineer

As a Gogo Business Aviation Senior Network Engineer you will join an exciting team creating solutions and connecting aircraft by growing our production and corporate network infrastructure. You will design, develop, and deploy ground-based network solutions to provide products and services to our customers, corporate offices, and internal stakeholders.

How will you make a difference?

• Build solutions based on business requirements
• Implement the features and functionality of Gogo Business Aviation network infrastructure
• Hands-on deploying network devices for Gogo production and corporate networks
• Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
• Collaborate with other business units to meet a common goal
• Track project tasks, provide status updates and ensure tasks completed on schedule
• Support process improvements, including researching and introducing new automation tools
• Guide implementation of best practices for network design/development
• Contribute to a healthy and collaborative team with a committed work ethic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• 4-7 years in telecommunication, data center or service provider industries
• Strong skills with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

• Excellent knowledge of OSI model
• Solid experience with routing protocols (OSPF/BGP)
• Experience with Cisco operating systems (NX-OS/XR)
• Strong network troubleshooting skills
• Skilled in working with load balancers
• Has worked with firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.)

Desirable Skills, Experience and Talents

• Knowledgeable with VxLAN and EVPN
• Understands telecommunications technologies (MPLS, VPLS, etc.)
• Good understanding of network security (IPSEC/RADIUS/TACACS/Firewall)
• Scripting experience with Python, Ansible, and other cloud technologies a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams

Base Pay:
104,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
