Good news! 1WorldSync is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team at our downtown Chicago headquarters.

1WorldSync is the industry leader in product content management. With 400 employees across the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Mexico, Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK, we're seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support our growing global team.

Reporting directly to our VP, Technology Operations the Senior Network Engineer will be a part of a team supporting 1WorldSync's Networking Infrastructure and helping to deliver 1WorldSync's commercial applications to the internet. The person will work closely with systems administrators, security engineers, and other technologists supporting all 1WorldSync SaaS offerings as well as interconnecting 1WorldSync offices. 1WorldSync utilizes a hybrid cloud made up of all major cloud providers, colocation data centers, and office locations in the US, Europe, and South America. This person will be integral to ensuring the connectivity, security, and interoperability of these systems and networks as well as be a subject matter expert when involved in troubleshooting or resolving any issues from a network perspective.

As Senior Network Engineer at 1WorldSync, responsibilities include the following:

• Implement and administer physical and virtual network components
• Create and maintain IPSec tunnels, SD-WAN, and P2P connections
• Troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently and effectively
• Architect secure network designs deployed in internal and external facing settings
• Administer front end load balancers, web servers (Apache, Nginx), and proxies
• Implement and maintaining network security tools
• Monitor network systems and control access to networks and components
• Maintain firewall policies
• Provide documentation, track KPIs, and maintain report of systems
• Respond to after hours on-call duties when necessary
• Follow and participate in security initiatives as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree and experience
• 5+ years experience in a network administration or similar role. SaaS, Telcom, or Trading firm experience a plus

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience configuring and administering network components including switches, routers, and Next Gen Firewalls. Palo Alto andor Cisco Meraki experience a plus.
• Experience working with cloud networking and data center interconnectivity; experience with Google Cloud, Azure, AWS preferred
• Experience setting up and maintaining IPSec tunnels
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of front end load balancers, web servers, proxy servers
• Able to work independently and handle multiple assignments/projects
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Check_MK
• Experience in network security and systems hardening
• Experience working in Linux based environments
• Expertise with OSI model and troubleshooting techniques based on that model
• Network Security Knowledge and experience with IPS, IDS, and URL Filtering
