Job Description

This position is that of a full time network engineer providing support for core network devices including firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and intrusion prevention. Position will be supporting critical public safety systems for local, state, and federal government and will provide 24x7x365 support working with the other team members. 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of focused networking experience in an enterprise environment

• Experience working in corporate network environments with WAN technologies such as Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Proxy, VPN SSL, VLAN and MPLS Networks

• Strong knowledge of network routing protocols

• Strong knowledge of multiple vendor network technologies

• Strong knowledge in network design, planning, and implementation of scalable high availability networks

• Moderate knowledge of cloud networking

• Moderate knowledge of network security best practices with hands on experience

• Experience with telco provider management and billing is preferred

• CCNP or JNCIP Certification in one or more domains is preferred

• ITIL Foundation Certification preferred

• This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer

Basic Requirements

• Ability to gain and maintain US Security Clearance (Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer)

• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Telecommunications, or In formation Technology discipline and 5+ years of focused networking experience

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
