All about the role:

Join our Tech North America team as a Senior Network Engineer and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our data networks across a connected global enterprise!

With a primary focus on Wireless and Data Center solutions, you'll provide expert-level technical support, troubleshooting, and architecture design to keep our networks running at optimal performance.

You will be a key player in driving the success of business projects that require telecommunications, working closely with various teams to deliver innovative and effective solutions.

This position provides 24 x 7 support with an on-call rotation (minimal calls expected to occur during this rotation).

What you'll do:

• Network architecture and troubleshooting, focused on Wireless/Data Center/Security (respectively)

• Analyzing business needs and designs, install and support network infrastructure services which includes:

o Deriving and evaluating network/service architecture alternatives

o Designing new services, infrastructure segments or other network solutions

o Creating design diagrams and design documentation

o Implementing services, infrastructure enhancements and changes

o Creating operational turnover documentation, diagrams and training material

o Auditing the network for infrastructure issues or opportunities for enhancement

• Providing and transferring expertise in creating and troubleshooting WAN connectivity through routers, and switches
• Supporting project planning for network expansion, new locations and product life cycle replacement
• Being responsible for evaluating network architecture and hardware/software configurations for security vulnerabilities and creating secure systems
• Monitoring intranet, extranet, and internet systems for security threats
• Installs, configure, and maintains LAN/WAN hardware and software technologies.

Qualificationsrequired:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in information Technology, or a related field
• 7 years or more experience with large scale Wide Area Network in a Cisco environment
• 4-7 years of providing 3rd level support including OSPF and Cisco experience
• In depth knowledge of IP Routing, Ethernet Switching, VPN's, Security, QoS, Remote/Local Access, WAN,
• Optical Networking, IP Services, Multicast, geographical and/or local server load balancing.
• Must be able to work after hours to provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
• CCNP Certification (Preferred)
