Senior Network Engineer

The main purpose of this position is to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing collaboration infrastructure. Our engineers work within the highly skilled Network Services team responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objective and SLAs.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and Install softphones, physical phones, and associated hardware and applications
• Design, Configure and Implement contact center solutions and scripts on Five9
• Provide tier 3 support and troubleshoot to resolve collaboration related issues on Cisco CUCM, PCCE, and Zoom and Five9 platforms
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the collaboration infrastructure
• Works on multiple major projects of the highest complexity requiring forefront-of the-field, and innovative solutions
• Long range planning in multiple major projects including tracking and budgeting
• Develops and applies advanced technologies, engineering principles, theories and concepts
• Travel to remote site locations for installation and configuration of collaboration systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology related field of study or equivalent experience.
• 15 plus years of customer focused experience, resolving technical problems, with experience of using ticketing systems.
• 10 plus years of collaboration systems experience preferred.
• 10 plus years of collaboration administration and/or design/troubleshooting experience preferred.
• In depth understanding of collaboration infrastructure and related services.
• Able to consistently demonstrate high levels of technical knowledge, ingenuity, and creativity.
• Able to develop and apply advanced technologies, engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
• Subject matter expert in multiple areas related to collaboration with a detailed understanding of how they interact. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Telephony protocols including SIP
• Unified Communications as a Service
• Service providers and handoffs
• Call flows and call routing
• Network connectivity and modern networking protocols
• Collaboration integration with business applications including Salesforce and other APIs
• Zoom and Five9 knowledge preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate technical terms into user terminology to all levels within the company.
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
• Must be able to travel for remote installs (up to 25%; can volunteer for additional travel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A self-starter able to work independently, but comfortable working in a team environment.
