As part of the Network Services team within Oracle's Global Information Technology organization, you will be responsible for the delivery of IT services to Oracle's businesses worldwide, these services include the management and delivery of network infrastructure.

Maintain records of equipment failure and liaise with engineers and suppliers as necessary. Escalate client problems according to established procedures. Manage the network using network management tools, analyze network performance and recommend network enhancements. Analyze network performance to ensure adequate bandwidth for business needs. Recommend enhancements to the network infrastructure, and with management agreement enhance proactive network management tool set. Troubleshoot network problems on the campus network, remote locations and country wide area network though to resolution. Perform Project Engineering including specification definition, design of solution in compliance with corporate standards, implementation, testing through to production. Respond to monitor alarms to identify the root cause of an outage and coordinate the corrective action in a timely fashion. Provide on-call support services as needed and provide assistance to others.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years relevant work experience and degree/diploma in computer science or IT discipline.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will design, support, install, and maintain network infrastructure-related technologies and equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining local area networks, wide area networks, virtual private networks, and wireless networks. You will be maintaining hardware components, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points as well as troubleshoot network connectivity issues with these technologies. You provide direction and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations, coordinate network changes, and communicate with impacted stakeholders. As a member of this team, you will also perform project work to update network equipment while also configuring or upgrading network components while completing assigned incident management tasks. This team operates in a complex and fast-paced healthcare environment where patience, attention to detail, teamwork, and a good attitude are necessities. As a senior member of this team, you will assist other team members through project work and assist other team members in completing assigned incident management tasks.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years total combined higher education and related work experience including:
    • At least 2 years of system administration and/or system engineering work experience
    • At least 6 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years network protocol work experience across local area networks, wide area networks, or wireless networks
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
  • Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless
  • Cisco Collaboration platforms: (CUCM, Unity Connection, VCS, Expressway, Telepresence, CUBE, Unified IM and Presence, Jabber)
  • Routing: EIGRP, BGP, policy-based routing, quality of service (QoS), DMVPN
  • Switching: HSRP, DIA, DHCP Snooping, Spanning-tree security, Port security
  • Wireless: Wireless LAN Controllers, Prime Infrastructure, Mobility Services Engine
  • Data Center Networks: including Nexus 2k-9k, vPC, vDC, ACI, etc.
  • Network Security: NAC, ACS, ISE, 802.1x, IPSEC VPN, SSL Decryption, Cisco ASA and/or Palo Alto Firewalls
Expectations
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)

New York City Pay Range: from $39.52 to $69.23 per hour; from $82,200 to $144,000 per annum; eligible for equity.
Colorado Pay Range: from $35.34 to $65.58 per hour; from $73,500 to $136,400 per annum; eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
