Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to be a part of our development team. Responsibilities include integrating platform services and extending network functionality to increase efficiency. You will work closely with designers and programmers to implement various game systems.

• Integrate platform services such as matchmaking, social features and rich presence.
• Extend existing network functionality to increase engineering team efficiency.
• Work on bandwidth optimization and improving network models to better suit project requirements.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of designers and programmers to design, prototype, and implement various game systems

• Proficiency in C/C++
• Experience as a network programmer on at least one shipped multiplayer game
• Familiarity with socket I/O and lower level protocols, IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, etc.
• Strong understanding of how to mitigate issues of latency, bandwidth, and state synchronization
• Understanding different networking models, methods and situations for prediction, interpolation
• Excellent communication and team interaction skills

• Experience with game console development
• Experience with Unreal Engine Replication and networking systems
• Prior work integrating game with online community such as Xbox Live, Steam or PlayStation Network
• Familiar with standard web service APIs

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $136,000 - $185,000 USD
