About the Client:
Our client operates one of the top 10 largest globally peered IPv4 and IPv6 networks, enabling providers to connect more efficiently with their end users, regardless of location.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of commercial experience 
• Expertise in Linux and network engineering with a focus on security and DDoS mitigation
• Strong knowledge of packet filtering using iptables, nftables, or pf, including hardware offloading for rule management (e.g., utilizing Intel DPDK)
• Proven experience in building DDoS mitigation solutions, specifically at L3/L4, with the potential L7
• Hands-on experience with leveraging x86 hardware for implementing firewall and filtering rules
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a DDoS mitigation solution, focusing on packet filtering and scrubbing architecture
• Utilize iptables/nftables/pf to manage and offload rules to hardware effectively
• Focus on implementing L3/L4 packet filtering, with future opportunities to work on L7
• Apply deep knowledge of x86 hardware to optimize firewall and filtering capabilities within the network infrastructure
