Senior Network Pre-Sales Engineer Position Summary

As GST's Senior Network Pre-Sales Engineer, you will collaborate with the sales support or account team by acting as technical experts in customer discussions. In addition, you will determine the technical requirements to meet client goals and act as liaison between the GST's sales/business development and engineering groups. You also respond to requests for information or requests for proposals from customers, supplying the technical details of proposed solutions.

Job Requirements

• Work with sales account teams to develop and close client opportunities
• Regularly participate in sales and prospect visits
• Take the lead in pre-sales discussions, discovering, and defining customer requirements surrounding data center solutions and services
• Develop proposals that incorporate the designs that address clients' specific business needs.
• Whiteboard IT strategies, vendor recommendations, and business recommendations.
• Align the business needs of customers and prospects to a technical solution and presenting the solution the customer in terms of business benefits
• Present technology roadmaps, technology trends, and industry priorities
• Achieve vendor and manufacturer certification, as required
• Perform other related IT and sales duties, as required

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with networking products and solutions
• Hands-on experience with Tier 1 vendors including Aruba, Cisco, Extreme, Juniper, HPE
• Industry Certification (example: CCA, CCSP, VCP, VCDX, VTSP, or VSP, CCNA, CCDA, MCSE, PMP)
• Previous experience creating quotes or Statements of Work (SOW's)
• Strong interpersonal skills are required, with a focus on teamwork and ability to foster, manage relationships across internal staff, customers and C-level executives and clients.
