Senior Networking Engineer

Job Overview:

Barrett-Jackson Auction Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructure to support our multiple fixed office locations and annual auctions in Scottsdale, West Palm Beach, Las Vegas, and New Orleans.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of LAN and WAN networking, Microsoft Office, and Dynamics, and have certification in network security and monitoring. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our network infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient to support the needs of our fast-paced and dynamic auction events.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks across all office locations and auction sites, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to safeguard the company's data and network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new software and hardware into the network, including Microsoft Office and Dynamics applications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network design, configurations, and procedures for efficient troubleshooting and future expansion.
• Provide technical support and training to staff members as needed, ensuring they can utilize company resources effectively and securely.
• Coordinate and manage on-site network setup and support during annual auctions in Scottsdale, West Palm Beach, Las Vegas, and New Orleans.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in network technology and industry best practices, recommending improvements and upgrades as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on LAN and WAN technologies.
• Certification in network security and monitoring (e.g., CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and Dynamics applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff members.
• Willingness to travel to annual auction events in Scottsdale, West Palm Beach, Las Vegas, and New Orleans.
• A strong team player with a proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
