Senior Node/Backend Software Engineer (Hybrid/Remote)

The Position:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Node Software Engineer, with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and prioritization capabilities to join our team. In this role, you will help build the future for one of our divisions.

Expectations of the Role:

• You will lead the development of new features and ongoing maintenance and infrastructure upgrades in our web server and associated services
• You will research and plan for ongoing improvements to the libraries and technologies in use
• You will establish best practices around testing, performance, and application security
• You will support the other back-end engineers and collaborate with the product and front-end development teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical skills
• 5+ years of experience writing code in a production environment developing modern web applications
• Experience with unit-testing
• You're familiar with modern Javascript (we use Javascript on both the client and the server)
• Hands-on experience with Node, MongoDB, Typescript, and GraphQL
