POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Operations Analyst plays a key role within the Asset Operations division. The division consists of seven teams: Incoming Transfers, Outgoing Transfers, Asset Services, Incoming Payments, Valuations, Alternative Asset Operations and Traditional Asset Operations. Collectively, these teams are responsible for all transactions and activity associated with holding alternative and traditional assets in custody at Millennium. The Senior Operations Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in processes performed across the division and assist the Managing Director with project management, process improvement and automation, data analysis, complex problem resolution, training and development and team building. The incumbent will be responsible for various recurring tasks, and back-up the Asset Operations leaders and teams as needed. This role requires the ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and seamlessly move from function to function.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Work closely with Managing Director and Asset Operations leaders to identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows
  • Participate in and lead select Asset Operations projects using an Agile approach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring innovation in features and design; managing requirements refinement and prioritization; and monitoring velocity of development
  • Oversee, plan and coordinate Asset Operations involvement in new business opportunities and product offerings
  • Prepare data analysis, and generate and monitor transaction and other activity metrics for departmental planning and periodic reporting to management
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development to build content for Asset Operations functional training
  • Coordinate annual SOC and financial audits
  • Assist in reviewing and approving transactions, correspondence and other work as needed
  • Effectively communicate and utilize sound judgment to resolve or escalate issues that arise
  • Respond to inquiries from and maintain effective relationships with internal departments, investment sponsors, custodians and clients
  • Ensure that the work generated consistently adheres to Company policies and procedures and meets established service levels
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter, proactive and analytical with the ability to understand the big picture but also dive into relevant details to resolve complex issues
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills working with all levels of an organization
  • Strong aptitude with process flows and project management
  • Strong aptitude with numbers and data analysis
  • Ability to move from function to function with limited need for instruction
  • Ability to think strategically, prioritize appropriately and demonstrate accountability
  • Capacity to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals, or groups

  • Strong computer aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Capacity to operate with a high sense of responsibility and conscientiousness in delivering results
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Optimistic with a consistently positive and flexible attitude
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Agile methodology preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of the Trust Accounting System, as well as other internal tracking systems, IRAs, and alternative assets a plus
