Senior Operations Manager
Job Description
Overview
The Manager serves as the focal point for matters of collaboration among the leadership team, and the principle point of coordination with adjacent departments. As a trusted and empowered manager, this individual assists the Director with financial, operational and general management activities for the entire program. This role is also responsible for leading and executing select strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, increase contribution margins and deliver increased process efficiency for the entire business.
Additionally, this role is responsible for the design and execution of communications specific for the program to internal and external stakeholders including employees, leaders and clients. She/he owns all leadership and planning forums and communication channels including QBR's, annual planning meetings, events and other leadership forums.
She/he also occasionally represents program and may be a proxy for the Director when needed. This requires having a deep understanding service portfolio, value propositions, financial measures and performance, product/service roadmaps, successes, plans, and team members.
The role serves as liaison to selected strategic partners for matters of collaboration. Plays an important role in evaluating performance results, identifying and assessing risk factors, managing action item registers and action trackers.
This role also plays a key role collaborating alongside the HR Business Partner and operations leadership team in the execution of the program workforce strategy, identifying talent, and opportunities to better align talent and organizational design to strategy.
- Leads strategic initiatives and reports risks, opportunities results to Leadership
- Organizes and gathers data and points of view from various internal and external sources and synthesizes this into actionable information and recommendations to DM leaders and other executives
- Serves as a focal point for program commitments, and may be designated to represent the overall business intentions, performance, status and plans to various forums
- She/he works cross-functionally to mobilize Iron Mountain-wide resources to:
- Communicate the vision, mission and status
- Interlock plans and initiatives
- Identify and execute on opportunities for collaboration and or improvement
- Monitors budget and actuals and identifies gaps and creates action plans
- Prepare and direct meetings originated the Director and follow-up on subsequent action items.
- Ensure that staff meetings are well planned and as efficient and impactful as possible
- Anticipate and direct resolution of issues as needed
- Liaise with internal communications to ensure alignment with strategic messages across the organization
- Develops presentations and communications deliverables for the Director as needed
- Plan, organize and lead business reviews to ensure that departmental goals, objectives and overall progress are being measured and reported on
- Test alignment and impact of initiatives against long term strategy.
- Ensure and track that all employees have goals and objectives that drive achievement of the program
Experience
The successful candidate will have significant experience working in strategic planning, finance(mortgage) or strategy functions. Five or more years' of experience as a Program Manager, Communications Manager or Manager. Excellent communication skills, trust-based approaches to issue management, and strong mortgage/financial acumen.

Background/ Experience
- 5+ years working in the mortgage industry
- 5+ years of business leadership in marketing, customer experience, customer loyalty, customer care, or business unit management
- 3+ years of experience managing complex initiatives and delivering on measurable goals
- 3+ years of experience with general business management
- Project Management Professional training
- Proven experience motivating and managing indirect reports and organizations

Location
Must be Dallas Metroplex based. This is not a remote position.
