Our revolutionary, unit-level map data and interactive visuals within our SightMap, TouchTour, and Asset Intelligence product lines allow both property owners and prospective renters to better ensure occupancy and drive revenue.
As the Senior Operations Manager of Unit Map, you will have the opportunity to be a part of Engrain's growth and dynamic environment. You will oversee all facets of the production, quality assurance, and ongoing revisions of interactive maps produced by Engrain employees and contract partners. This highly quantitative role focuses on scaling production through continuous benchmarking, refactoring, and outsourcing while identifying efficiencies and opportunities to increase capacity and utilization.
The Senior Manager of Map Production works cross-departmentally, collaborating with various technical staff, including the leadership, product development, and implementation teams. This person will deliver advice and direction to production staff; this requires excellent communication and team-building experience.
What you'll do...
Operations
  • Develop growth strategies and contingency growth plans
  • Create scalable processes to allow the Map Production teams to maneuver different verticals seamlessly
  • Evolve resource planning processes for scalability, ensuring team leads are able to effectively and efficiently assign work, monitor pipeline and project needs based on the volume of work for all teams and to promote intentional hiring procedures
  • Develop and manage talent for segments of the production teams to successfully produce maps to design specifications and consistently meet critical milestones
  • Constantly iterate on training documentation, videos and other channels to minimize onboarding and training time
  • Evolve processes for monitoring team members' (and contracted resources') compliance of established methodologies and production best practices to ensure quality while keeping up with scale
  • Lead team restructuring initiatives and process improvements that permit the production teams to increase turn times on products and increase map prep efficiency
  • Establish and maintain relationships with outsourcing vendors that can contribute to bottom line growth and process efficiency
  • Proactively anticipate resource needs, identify potential risks and issues that may impact deliverables, as well as develop and implement mitigation and corrective action quickly
  • Coordinate with Senior Leadership and Product Development to translate technical requirements into manageable and efficient workflows
  • Provide Senior Leadership and Product Development teams solutions for production efficiencies and create business case/cost analysis to ensure any change is profitable
  • Maintain measurement and reporting on key performance indicators for all staff members

Management and Leadership
  • Ensure the Unit Map team strategy is communicated to team leads and that the subset teams remain well informed of new processes and best practices
  • Verify team leads and supervisors monitor KPIs and resolve day-to-day operation and employee performance issues as they arise
  • Track and measure team performance, time allocations, and quality per company objectives
  • Play a key role in recruiting, hiring and developing Map Production talent
  • Develop procedures for continuous skill and career growth for the Map Production teams
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market, industry trends, and core technologies

Requirements
What you offer us...
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of previous leadership experience
  • 5-7+ years of operations, or related, experience focused on process reengineering and improvement
  • Track record of building, scaling, and continuously motivating a large department
  • Manufacturing, design operations, or production background a plus
  • Previous analysis or analytical skills are a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, spreadsheet analysis is desirable
  • Project management experience is preferred

  • Salary Disclosure for Colorado: minimum base salary of $95,000-$115,000. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate's experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
