POSITION: Senior Oracle Developer

Purpose, mastery and autonomy! We provide all three at ISS where we are building state of the art voting and analytical platforms, to help shareholder make key corporate decisions around the world. We're looking for an Oracle developer to design, develop and enhance large Oracle databases, data processing/ETL jobs, and data interfaces for applications. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Working with business teams to understand requirements and estimate development effort.
• Designing the databases for highly scalable applications that manipulate large datasets in seconds
• Enhance our databases and SQL code to improve application stability, performance, and scalability.
• Participating in all phases of software development life cycle including - requirements analysis, effort estimation, design, development, unit testing, release, and support.

Here's what you need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-15 years of experience with Oracle including schema design, and PL/SQL programming.
• Strong core Oracle skills with proficiency in designing indexes, triggers, partitions etc.
• Experience using PL/SQL to develop client/server module-based web applications
• Experience developing/enhancing batch jobs processing millions of transactions per hour.
• Excellent Performance tuning experience
• Experience of query plan analysis & optimization using Oracle Enterprise Management.
• Experience designing, enhancing, and supporting large databases with terra bytes of data.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

And for bonus points:

• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience with ETL.
• Experience with SQL Server.
• Experience with Eclipse and SVN
