Senior Paid Search Specialist

Position Summary

TaxAct is seeking a Senior Paid Search Specialist that will be responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day management of paid search campaigns. As a paid search senior specialist, you will contribute to the goal of acquiring and retaining customers by leading the growth of the paid search account through implementing processes and procedures to ensure paid search best practices, leading strategic initiatives to test and learn new tactics or opportunities, and analyze the performance of campaigns to ensure they are meeting and exceeding business goals and KPIs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Evaluate, implement, manage, and report on strategic initiatives for the development of long term paid search strategies that achieve core KPIs for overall business success
• Continually look for new opportunities to scale and grow paid search performance
• Be the subject matter expert on paid search particularly Google and Bing
• Manage the successful launch and optimization of paid search campaigns across partners such as Google and Bing
• Segment the data to find pocket of opportunities where to increase spend and areas where to scale back spend in order to maximize our return on investment

Campaign Activation

• Plan and implement paid search account structure to best meet business goals and KPIs.
• Proactively find new opportunities for sophisticated bidding strategies and testing (including but not limited to landing page testing, new platforms, new ad types, platform integrations, and more).
• Evaluate tracking setup including Google Analytics data, in -platform conversion settings, and SA360 Action Sets

Campaign Management

• Regularly test bid solutions and targeting methods to ensure that paid search campaigns are performing at optimal levels for achieving goals.
• Establish new processes to implement search best practices and increase effectiveness.
• Monitor ad copy, extensions, and landing pages to capture customers at all steps of the marketing funnel.
• Troubleshoot and interpret account data relating to campaign structure, strategy, or implementation to evaluate account impact

Report on performance using weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports and presentations

• Create budget trackers and performance reports by combining data from multiple sources such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and SA360.
• Analyze data from reports and visualize insights into PowerPoint presentations.
• Present meaningful paid search insights to internal and external teams.

Collaborate with internal team and external teams to maximize overall business goals and KPIs

• Challenge and motivate third-party partners (engine partners, agency partners, etc.) to continue bringing new ideas and strategies to test and learn within our account.
• Help identify, evaluate, and execute the development of new vendors or technologies for the paid search channel.

Education & Experience

• 3+ years of related paid search experience working with search platforms such as SA360, Google Ads, and Bing Ads.
• 1-2 years of mentoring, training, or leading team members with experience in implementing solutions and solving key challenges.
• Experience working with financial data, forecasting, and budgets.
• Agency experience in paid search preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Google and Bing Ads certified.
