Senior Paralegal & Executive Assistant to Chief Legal Officer

Vicarious Surgical is looking for a Senior Paralegal & Executive Assistant to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) in Waltham, MA. This is a terrific opportunity for a paralegal to be in a highly visible role at a public company and take on a wide variety of responsibilities.

Vicarious Surgical is a next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedure, improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.

Responsibilities

• Help define procedures and practices within the legal department to promote efficient workflows and handling of legal requests
• Capability to interact with the Board of Directors and Committees of the Board on time sensitive matters
• Maintain overall public company governance including D&O Questionnaires, Proxy Statement and Annual Meeting support working with the CLO
• Work with Chief Legal Officer to schedule meetings, zoom calls and conferences
• Manage day-to-day calendaring of legal deadlines and support legal billing processes
• Liaise with internal and external counsel and contacts on a day-to-day basis
• Assist with projects and tasks within a broader legal strategy in collaboration with other legal and administrative team members
• Organize and maintain a variety of hard copy originals and electronic files
• Handle diverse special projects for Chief Legal Officer in a wide variety of areas 
• Obtains signatures and maintains files of all SEC filings. Maintains files for Disclosure Controls and Procedures

About You

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including working in a legal department of a public company and/or a major law firm
• Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal certificate and/or relevant experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Solid computer skills, including ability to work in MS Office and Google Workplace
• Collaborative, with ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships
• Exceptionally organized, efficient and detail-oriented
