Who we are

Hi, I’m Jocelyn, our Head of Partnerships at Mention Me and I’m hiring! Before I tell you more about the role, here's a little bit about Mention Me and what we do.

Becoming a Mentioneer means you’ll be joining our Referral Engineering® movement, which is changing the world of marketing.

Our data-driven referral marketing platform equips brands to drive growth through their fans by encouraging and rewarding personal recommendations.

There’s a good chance you’ve already come across us while online shopping from Puma, PrettyLittleThing, ASOS, Pret a Manger or any other of the 450+ brands we work with.

Since 2013, we’ve delivered more than 4.5m referrals totalling $1.5bn in revenue.

Now, our mission to make all brands think advocacy-first is stepping up a gear, and you might be just who we need to help us.

The Role

You'll be our first Partner hire within the USA (currently a UK team of 4). We are already the market leader in the UK and Europe and have begun to make a big dent into the USA market, but it's still early days. We are opening up our offices in Boston, and you will be a key hire as we grow out the team. So, there's a real opportunity to shape how we do things, joining at the very beginning of our exciting journey.

As our Senior Partner Manager, you'll drive growth through our technology and agency partners through strategy and management as we scale. Partnerships are a big focus for us in 2022 and beyond, as we look to achieve our ambitious revenue goals. You'll have the opportunity to be commercial creative, uncovering new partnership opportunities that generate net new revenue for the business and will play a critical role in growing the channel.

You’ll be responsible for all day-to-day activities, ensuring best-in-class relationships and a strong campaign strategy that drives new business revenue for Mention Me and our 3rd party partners.

You will be focused on building joint product value propositions, driving sales enablement and field interaction, pipeline management and forecasting, and proactive business planning and business development.

What you’ll do:

  • You'll deliver against the opportunity and revenue targets
  • You'll generate opportunity pipeline across your tech and agency partner portfolio
  • You'll identify new and existing partners and manage their development within the Mention Me partner program accordingly
  • You'll support the technical and training requirements of our partners
  • You'll design and implement initiatives to increase sales and overall channel growth
  • You'll represent Mention Me at industry events, attending conferences, webinars and round-table events
  • You'll act as a funnel to bring information, updates and trends from the partners back to the team, collaborating with nearly all departments at Mention Me.

We'd really like to hear from you, if...

  • You've got a strong sales background, with around 5 years total experience in sales or account management.
  • You proactively identify opportunities to scale success for clients and partners, and can handle multi-stakeholder deals
  • You have strong knowledge of the martech ecosystem, with an understanding of cross-channel marketing and practices used by retail and e-commerce brands. You're able to demonstrate how our product adds value, and integrates with their tech stack.
  • You are confident with data, and how best to use the wealth of data we have, specifically how it can improve client and partners performance.
  • You collaborate well with others. Nothing we do is done in isolation. You'll be open to sharing input and ideas with the team, and have the gravitas to conduct multi-department projects, galvanising teams to work towards a common goal

After the initial conversation, if it’s a good match both ways, you’ll be invited to meet with Jocelyn.

Following a successful first-stage interview, you’ll be invited to the 2nd stage which is an in-person interview, where you'll meet Jocelyn (Head of Partners) and Natalie Barrie (Head of Sales).

As a 3rd stage and final stage, you'll then meet with Stuart, our CRO.
