Senior Partner Marketing Manager
Job Description
Sprout Social is seeking a results-driven and collaborative Partner Marketer to join our high-performing marketing team. Our marketing team has helped us reach 32,000+ customers worldwide, including DoorDash, General Mills, Trello, Make-a-wish Foundation, Edelman, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.Â
As a Senior Partner Marketing Manager you will create and lead Sprout’s global partner marketing strategy. You will work closely with Sprout’s growing ecosystem of partners–that span a variety of social networks and technology integrations–to identify opportunities and develop integrated campaigns that effectively increase Sprout and our partners’ awareness and perception in the marketplace.Â
This highly collaborative role will sit at the intersection of Marketing and Partnerships and work with Content, Product, and Acquisition Marketing to develop and lead go-to-market programs with Sprout’s top partners including Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, Salesforce, Hubspot, Microsoft, Zendesk and more.  Â
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marketing strategy, strong project management and communication skills and derive energy from building relationships, campaigns and teams.Â
Qualifications:
These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:
- 10+ years marketing or relevant professional experienceÂ
- 5+ years in a partner-facing roleÂ
- 3+ years of B2B partner marketing experience; specifically working with large technology partners to develop and build joint programs at scale.Â
Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:
- Experience with social media companies such as Meta, Twitter, Linkedin and TikTok
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across a distributed team, both internally and externally.
- Proven success in achieving and exceeding B2B marketing goals across awareness, perception, lead generation and customer marketing.
- Ability to communicate complex, large-scale concepts clearly and rally a team to execute.
- Proven success building and managing multiple, detailed projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a unique ability to translate technology features into business benefits.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as safety conditions allow.
Within 1 month, you will...Â
- Complete Sprout Social’s new hire training & onboarding program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our products and how your role fits into the organization.Â
- Meet with members of the marketing and partnerships teams in 1:1s to understand what’s working, what’s not and gather learnings to implement into your role.
- Get to know your manager, peers, and partners across Marketing, Partnerships, Creative, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to understand current working relationships.
- Develop a firm understanding of Sprout’s brand positioning, voice, and core messaging.
- Familiarize yourself with Sprout’s marketing mission, goals and objectives.Â
- Start participating in weekly stand-ups and team meetings.
Within 3 months, you will...Â
- Develop a firm understanding of Sprout’s marketing strategy, roadmap, processes and best practices.
- Identify 2-3 areas where a joint partner marketing initiative could benefit both Sprout and our partners’ goals.
- Work with strategic partners to brainstorm joint marketing programs, working closely with our Partnerships team to align priorities and goals.
- Work with the broader marketing team (PR, events, creative, content) to build partner campaigns and ensure success of the program. Â
Within 6 months, you will...Â
- Regularly execute multiple partner marketing campaigns including partner education, sales enablement and campaign fulfillment.Â
- Leverage marketing assets including collateral, playbooks, newsletters, presentations, case studies, webinars, and more.Â
- Analyze performance of campaigns to determine any necessary optimization and plan for future programs.Â
- Manage funding requests, co-marketing budgets, and reporting to measure ROI effectiveness and pipeline impact.
- Manage calendar for programs to provide transparency and create alignment with key stakeholders.
Within 12 months, you will...Â
- Drive ongoing communication with partners, executive team and collaborators to keep them informed of our progress and deepen relationships.
- Be entirely at home driving multiple initiatives simultaneously and working cross functionally to get work done.Â
- Feel comfortable pushing our team and our partners to deliver against our goal and ensure the right work is being prioritized. Â
