About the role:

Central to Forter’s vision is to increase its connections to the wider digital commerce ecosystem. Today, we’re the preferred vendor for several commerce platforms, consultancies and digital agencies, a solution provider to payment services and a strategic partner to issuing banks. But there is so much more we can and will do. 

This role will fit under the product marketing function and work closely with our channel, technology alliances, and product teams to execute strategic go to market programs, campaigns, and product launches. This person will take a lead role in the development of core content and collateral creation across our ecosystem of eCommerce, payment, agency/consultancy partners, and PSPs (ex: Salesforce, Adobe, SAP; CapitalOne, Flutterwave, Mastercard; PwC, BORN, Netconomy). The ideal candidate for this role has experience working in a partner marketing organization in a B2B setting, bringing new products/features to market, creating joint value propositions, managing multiple priorities at once and teaming across functions to meet a common goal.
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Launch new product offerings that expand on Forter Element (our current offering for payment service providers). You can expect launches to include marketplace offerings, plugins, integrations, partnerships and more—and you’ll own the launch plan, soup to nuts. 
  • Position Forter in the digital commerce ecosystem by finding the right ways to articulate our differentiation to different types of partners, and creating the necessary collateral to carry that message beyond our four walls. 
  • Enable BOTH Forter salespeople on our place in the ecosystem AND partner salespeople on Forter’s value proposition. That means you’ll need to understand all the competitive dynamics and the ins and outs of our platform. 
  • Influence the product roadmap. You are the voice of the digital commerce ecosystem back into the product and marketing organizations. And you will shape how the roadmap is communicated externally to partners, establishing Forter as the innovator in its market. 
  • Collaborate like crazy. If you’re going to succeed at the above four bullets, it’s because you’ve formed strong relationships with our Business Development, Product Management, Sales, Solution Consultant and other teams. You’ll be a trusted expert that engages directly with our most strategic partners, understands our shared interests and drives us forward. 
What you’ll need:
  • Writing skills. They are prized around here. Once you’ve internalized our products and differentiation, you don’t want to take dependencies to create collateral. You’re comfortable picking up the pen / clacking away on a keyboard. 
  • Keen ear. The best marketers are the best listeners, and in this role you need to seek to understand what different partners care about and consider how we can activate them on our behalf. We’ll want to know how you distill complex topics and relationships down to key insights. 
  • Presentation skills. We can always work on this one together … but expect that by owning enablement for Forter salespeople and partner salespeople, you’re going to be in front of the room (physical or virtual) often. 
  • Product-orientation. Note that this is a role in product marketing, and there is a technical aspect that requires you to deeply understand our platform. Your colleagues in Field Marketing own partner events and activities that complement your efforts. 
  • Orchestration. Any product marketer that owns a launch process has to be confident orchestrating stakeholders and workstreams and sticking to deadlines. 
  • Domain experience. While not absolutely necessary, your ramp will be a whole lot shorter if you’ve spent considerable time in digital commerce, identity, security and/or fintech.
