This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Partner Sales Engineer in the United Kingdom.
This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and strategic partner engagement, supporting the growth of cloud-native data protection solutions across a key UK&I territory. You will act as the primary technical advisor for strategic channel partners, helping them position and deliver advanced SaaS-based cyber resilience solutions to enterprise customers. Working closely with partner sales teams, you will shape technical strategies, run deep discovery sessions, and drive solution adoption across complex environments. The role is highly consultative, requiring both strong pre-sales engineering skills and the ability to influence at senior stakeholder level. You will contribute directly to revenue growth by enabling partners to independently sell and deploy solutions effectively. This is a high-impact position within a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment where collaboration, ownership, and customer success are central.
Accountabilities
- Act as the dedicated technical lead for strategic channel partners, building and maintaining strong relationships that drive joint pipeline growth and revenue expansion across the UK&I region.
- Support partners throughout the full sales cycle by delivering technical presentations, deep-dive demos, solution design guidance, and proof-of-value sessions aligned with customer needs.
- Develop and execute partner enablement strategies, including training sessions, workshops, and technical collateral to ensure partners can independently position and implement solutions.
- Lead technical discovery and consultative engagements, translating complex customer environments into scalable, value-driven solution architectures.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to gather partner feedback, influence roadmap priorities, and refine go-to-market strategies.
- Provide ongoing technical oversight during partner opportunities, ensuring accurate solution positioning, competitive differentiation, and successful deal closure.
- Build thought leadership within partner ecosystems by evangelising best practices, emerging technologies, and use-case-driven value propositions.
- 4+ years in customer-facing technical roles, including at least 3+ years in a Sales Engineer or pre-sales capacity supporting enterprise software or SaaS solutions.
- Strong experience working with channel partners, ideally including relationships with Tier 1 VARs or strategic alliance ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments, including virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), storage systems, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including core services and deployment environments.
- Strong grasp of SaaS architectures, enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
