Position Summary

The Senior Payroll Accountant will perform day-to-day payroll-related accounting activities including processing of payroll for our US, Canada, and India-based entities, Payroll accounting duties in support of the month-end general ledger close, balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis, as well as support quarterly and annual financial audits and department initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Processing of payroll for our US, Canada, and India-based entities (roughly 500 employees and growing), including processing the vesting of equity awards granted to employees
• Prepare and post journal entries and monthly accruals, and other related accounting entries as needed
• Prepare payroll and benefits-related balance sheet account reconciliations
• Provide support to both the Accounting and Finance around month-end close procedures including post-close analysis of accounts and financial statement line items
• Support the implementation of new ERP system as it relates to payroll
• Support external audit on a quarterly and annual basis, gathers necessary account information and documentation requested by external audit team
• Performs other related duties and supports ongoing projects, as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
• 5+ years’ combined experience in end-to-end payroll processing, for multiple entities for multiple states/jurisdictions and related Accounting knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. 
• NetSuite and/or SAP experience is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
• Enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Willing to jump in and learn new processes, as well as suggest opportunities for more scalable processes, especially in connection with the migration to our new ERP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software. software (i.e. advanced excel skills and NetSuite).
• Has experience working in a SOX-compliant environment with an established internal control framework over payroll
• Comfortable working within a team of 2-3
