Overview of Position Responsibilities: The Senior Payroll Administrator will require experience in payroll administration and data analytics. This role is responsible for the operation, control and reconciliation of payroll for 500+ employees and multiple states. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in processing multi-state payroll and experience in UKG Pro Solutions/Ultimate Software Suite (UKG). The candidate must have a strong aptitude in technology-based solutions, strong attention to detail, highly organized, display a high degree of ownership, possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently. This is a 100% remote role.
This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that involves a high level of cross-functional interaction with the entire team.
What You Will Do:
- Process data entry for multi-state payroll on a bi-weekly basis under strict deadlines while ensuring all entries and system outputs adhere to all state and federal laws.
- Calculate and account for miscellaneous wage deductions for wage garnishments and child support orders.
- Process state and local agency registrations.
- Partner with UKG to ensure timely state filings.
- Process withholdings such as 401K and other welfare deductions while adhering to all state and federal guidelines.
- Work with HR team to aggregate employee data relating to new hires, terminations, and bonus payments, garnishments, and wage assignments during each pay period.
- Maintain Payroll and Workforce Management systems to ensure accurate pay calculations and accruals, including regular audits and troubleshooting as needed to resolve related issues.
- Assist employees with online changes and questions regarding taxes, deductions, and direct deposits.
- Reconcile 401K, FSA, DCA and HSA contributions and fund employee's accounts.
- Reconcile healthcare deductions to monthly invoices.
- Accountable for maintaining employee payroll records and ad hoc HR reporting.
- Conduct data integrity audits as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Must be highly detail-oriented and have strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to partner cross functionally, specifically with our Accounting Team.
- Flexibility and capability to deal with constant change.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills required.
- Ability to maintain professionalism.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality in dealing with all documents, files, and conversations.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives.
- Bachelor's degree and/or 4 years of related education, i.e. business or accounting and/or relevant work experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-state payroll experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
- Prior knowledge of working with HRIS/payroll systems required - UKG Ultipro, Kronos, Dimensions, Business Analytics Reporting and Workforce Management preferred.
- MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, OneNote.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Required to use close vision and be able to focus.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug test prior to employment.
