About the Role

Workday is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Payroll Analyst who wants to make their mark on a growing organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, great communicator, and enjoys partnering with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-pace environment. This position will play a pivotal role in the payroll processes.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead payroll processes on Workday product for United States; ensure on-time payment to employees and statutory agencies
  • Test new configuration and bug fixes in the Workday tenant for the US payroll
  • Monitor and implement statutory updates for regulations relating to time tracking, leave and absence, and payroll to ensure compliance
  • Assist with M&A for US payroll; ensure migration of wages, taxes, and respective benefit plans as they relate to payroll
  • Manage equity payrolls and ensure estimated tax payments are remitted timely
  • Reconcile tax actuals v. daily, monthly and quarterly remittance as necessary
  • Identify gaps in configuration and process; work cross-functionally to correct as necessary
  • Monitor business-travelers and update resident / non-resident withholdings as necessary
  • Assist with quarter end and year-end tax and accounting activities
  • Ensure system updates for open enrollment are updated timely in payroll
  • Assist cross-functionally to provide support for payroll transactions and reconciliations
  • Mentor and train other analysts on team

About You

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in payroll processing at a high-growth company
  • 1+ years of previous experience processing payroll using Workday
  • Experience with multi state payroll processing, taxation and compliance

Other Qualifications:
  • BS degree in HR, Finance, Accounting; work experience considered in lieu of degree
  • CPP preferred
  • Ability to understand system functionality and communicate requirements
  • Work well within tight deadlines, can lead a process, and escalate issues early to prevent missed deadlines
  • Understanding of accounting and SOX controls
  • Strong payroll auditing skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure with problem solving capabilities
  • Work independently while showing your contribution
  • Demonstrated dependability, team player, and positive attitude
