About the RoleÂ
Glassdoor is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our high-performing Finance Team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for all key payroll processing functions at Glassdoor. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in payroll, experience with analyzing and interpreting payroll data, and a detail-oriented, process improvement mindset. What You’ll DoÂ
- Prepare and/or review multi-jurisdictional US, Canada and EMEA payroll
- Manage regular monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reporting and tax filing requirements as required and assist with financial audits
- Collaborate within the Finance team on processing and accounting for commissions and equity transactions (RSUs)
- Complete month end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analyses
- Respond timely and accurately to employee payroll inquiriesÂ
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team, cross-functional partners, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Perform other special projects and analyses as needed
What You’ll Bring

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Tax / Business / Information systems, or other relevant field
- 3-5+ years of payroll experience
- Full-cycle payroll experience using a payroll software (preferred Workday Payroll system, or other relevant system such as ADP, Paycom, etc.)
- Experience filing quarterly tax filings using ADP SmartCompliance preferred
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, IF statements, etc.)Â
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, and experience analyzing and interpreting payroll data
- General knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including withholding tax, related tax filings, tax policy and employment regulationsÂ
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, a continuous improvement mindset, experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentiallyÂ
- Experience with Workday Payroll, NetSuite, and ADP SmartCompliance systems preferred
- CPP/FPC certification preferred
- Familiarity with international payroll processing, and/or experience using an input file and a third party payroll processor, preferred
Base Salary Range*: $95,000 - $118,700

*Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.
Annual Bonus Target: 10%
**Bonuses are paid in 6-month intervals, aligning with bi-annual performance reviews
