Role Description

Senior Payroll Analyst

Reporting to the Global Payroll Lead of Zoetis, and working closely with colleagues from Human Resources, Finance, Treasury and Information Technology Services, the Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day Payroll operations for Zoetis. The ideal candidate has a background in payroll accounting or finance and has experience working in a payroll function.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs biweekly payroll process including EIB submissions, reconciliations against vendor audit reports
• Reviews and validate integrations into payroll system (Workday) on a biweekly basis
• Perform daily tax and data integrity review
• Manages payroll authorization to vendor platforms
• Prepares supporting documentation for Sarbanes Oxley reporting
• Supports audits of various payroll areas and prepare materials for external or internal auditors
• Supports Workday testing as required by Workday SME
• Prepares accounting reconciliations of Global HR-Payroll related accounts
• Creates purchase orders for vendor related invoices
• Maintains invoice to purchase order budget against service level agreements
• Reports invoice - purchase order analytics to management on monthly basis
• Develops and distributes monthly payroll reports to internal management
• Supports and researches payroll financial inquiries
• Researches USA tax notices with Payroll vendor and tax agencies for timely resolutions
• Other duties as assigned within the HR-Payroll framework, including participation in continuous improvement initiatives and other projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting)
• Minimum 5 years of Workday Payroll related experience

• Working knowledge of USA payroll and payroll taxes
• Workday USA Payroll knowledge required and skilled at use of EIBs
• Able to adhere to tight deadlines
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point knowledge
• Must be discreet to handle sensitive and private information in a confidential manner
• Must be detail oriented
• Ability to communicate with various levels of management
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
