Senior Payroll & Expense Analyst

In your role as a Senior Payroll & Expense Analyst, reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for managing activities and resources related to payroll processing and expense reporting in a team environment. The Senior Payroll and Expense Analyst will ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner according to QGenda policy and in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions
• Ownership and accountability for expense and payroll operations, including processes and procedures with consistent and accurate execution 
• Review payroll inputs for accuracy 
• Responsible for the registration and setup process when adding new state and/or local taxing jurisdictions to system
• Maintain payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Research and resolve payroll-related issues as necessary 
• Maintain expense reporting system and process reimbursements 
• Collaborate with fellow team members, Human Resources, and other departments on all compensation, withholding items and/or expense processing 
• Identify and recommend improvements regarding payroll processes, systems, and service delivery 
• Assist with the selection, implementation, and oversight of third-party vendors
• Manage payroll and expense related audits 
• Ensure confidentiality and retention of payroll information and records in accordance with established policies 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills 
• Strong data entry and Excel skills 

Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll and expenses
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now 
• A/P experience a plus 
• Corporate accounting/finance experience a plus 
• Multi-state payroll experience
