Overview:

The Penetration testing team at Liveperson is responsible for testing the security of LivePerson networks, applications and environments, on-premises and cloud. All of our Penetration Testing team members are expected to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security vulnerabilities, standards, systems and authentication protocols, as well as penetration testing tooling and methodologies.

This role performs penetration testing, internally and externally, both directed and independently.

The right candidate will have a can do, follow-up and have a great attitude. Understand and assess our environments for vulnerability and communicate the associated risk to internal and external stakeholders.

Reach Tester and responsibilities:

A Reach Tester job generally includes:

• Perform penetration tests on Liveperson's networks, applications and environments.
• Validate external reach test results and work with all partners.
• Work with the engineering and security teams to find and explain security issues, suggest mitigations, and determine when issues are reduced.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest testing tools and techniques ensuring both you and the team is using the most efficient methods.
• Coordinate reach test schedules with engineering teams.
• Produce both high-level and detailed reports of penetration testing activities and results.
• Apply modern tooling and automate routine testing to the extent possible.
• Mentor other members of the penetration testing teams and the broader LivePerson Security and Engineering teams.

Reach Tester job qualifications and requirements:

While a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is desirable, we also look to candidates with 5+ years of experience in this role.

Penetration testing certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, CEH and similar are always welcomed, don't let them stop you from applying.

As well as adversarial thinking, well-formed opinions, Liveperson Penetration Testers include the following qualities:

• Broad experience in information security and penetration testing techniques
• Experience with cloud environments (GCP especially), web protocols, weaknesses and vulnerabilities - and the exploitation of these
• Knowledge of current IT risks and experience in testing, exploitation, and mitigation techniques
• Conduct security code reviews in the following: Java, Python, and Node.js
• Experience developing automation and exploitation scripts
• Experience penetration testing cloud-deployed applications
• Work with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain security vulnerabilities
• Curious and dedicated to learning
