Strava is the leading subscription platform at the center of connected fitness, with more than 100 million community members in over 190 countries. The platform offers an integrated view of your active lifestyle, no matter where you live, which sport you love, and/or what device you use. We are looking for a strategic, thoughtful, and highly accountable Senior People Business Partner to join our Organizational Development team. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the Engineering and Finance teams, build strong partnerships, proactively solve problems, and provide strategic and operational support to the leaders and functions you support.

Your strengths include emotional intelligence, curiosity, resiliency, strategic thinking, and effective communication.

As a trusted advisor to our senior leadership team, you will drive talent initiatives that support a thriving culture, engaged teams, and a more productive and profitable business. As an advocate for our employees, you will listen, enable, and guide them to be their best.

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with occasional office visits.

  • Lead key People programs and initiatives, including performance and compensation cycles, talent and succession reviews, development planning, engagement surveys, employee listening, and more.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop managers, providing feedback to drive impact, navigate challenges, and champion belonging throughout the team
  • Successfully influence others by providing direction, knowledge, and support to create a high-performing organization
  • Bring an orientation toward creating an equitable experience for all employees, with a keen eye toward mitigating bias and driving improvements in organizational health from a DEI perspective.
You will be successful here by:

  • Demonstrating your dual superpowers of putting people first, and bringing clarity and transparency to communicate how people decisions are made
  • Assessing employee development needs throughout the organization and make recommendations for appropriate solutions
  • Embracing an inclusive, collaborative environment that elevates a diverse set of voices and experiences.
We are excited about you because you have:
  • 8+ years experience in a professional capacity closely supporting teams and operations (bonus if it is formally as an HR business partner and/or supporting a tech team)
  • Experience leading, designing and/or managing organizational development programs such as performance management, merit cycles, succession planning, talent reviews, engagement surveys, etc.
  • Excellent influencer, communicator, facilitator, and listener with a balanced and thoughtful approach, adept at building trust
  • Keen understanding of people and team dynamics, with an ability to glean insights and action solutions that bring others along the way
  • Highly accountable and organizationally minded individual who is skilled at project management, and who can carry many simultaneous initiatives forward and prioritize fluidly as needs change
  • Possesses a strong growth approach, the desire to learn and continually improve, and to help others do the same
