VGS is the world's leader in payment tokenization. Large banks, aspiring fintechs, and growing merchants embed our universal token vault into their technology stack to manage the complexities of payment data tokenization across processors and networks, open banking, card issuance, omnichannel loyalty, PCI compliance, payment orchestration, and more. We empower our clients and partners by tokenizing sensitive payment data, limiting compliance scope, and consolidating payments to unlock revenue and business opportunities.
VGS provides processor-agnostic tokenization solutions via secure universal token vaults, iframes, mobile SDKs, tokenization proxies, APIs, and data orchestration tooling to support payment acceptance, card issuance, PII and bank account tokenization, and other payments value-added services. Some of the use cases we enable include multi-processor Network Tokenization, Account Updater, payment orchestration, secure settlement file processing, 3DS, and Risk provider connectivity.
As a distributed, people first, company, our focus is on building out a high-impact People team. You will be a key contributor in ensuring that our HR policies and programs scale revenue in the next year and collaborate across the People team to drive meaningful outcomes. We will look for this hire to leverage their experience from past successes and learnings to play a leadership role across all aspects of People Operations while having influence on Talent Acquisition and HR functions and processes.
What you will be doing at VGS
- Own all aspects of People Operations as VGS scales in size
- Grow and nurture the People Operations Team in an environment where the team members can deliver on our goals
- Act as a strong HR leader, who not only brings depth of expertise in People Operations but who will also, as part of the People Team, play an influential role across all aspects of TA and HR ensuring we provide VGS’ers with a cohesive employee experience
- Be both a strategic and hands-on partner who is comfortable setting annual strategy as well as troubleshooting process issues against deadlines
- Oversee and bolster existing HR programs such as benefits programs, immigration management, compliance, etc
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HR systems, policies, and procedures
- Partner with HR Business Partner and Compensation functions to ensure scalable and responsive processes for employee lifecycle management
- Partner with our Recruitment team to ensure a seamless new hire and onboarding experience
- Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
- Oversee programs related to employee lifecycle events (onboarding, offboarding, employee review cycles)
- Partner with our DE&I ERGs team to further VGS’s commitment towards creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace
- Own and iterate on benefits programs (renewal, open enrollment, adoption and implementation of new programs)
What we are looking for from you (Requirements)
- 6+ years of direct HR or People Operations experience (PHR/SHRM-CP a plus)
- Demonstrated experience with benefits, payroll, and open enrollment
- Demonstrated experience implementing DE&I initiatives and partnering with Employee Resource Groups
- Excited to work in a growth-stage company, having a track record of being adaptable to changing priorities in a fluid and high growth environment
- Organized with strong attention to detail approach, effectively exercising independent judgment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a successful record of implementing processes at scale
- Team player with a sense of ownership and “get things done” attitude
- Experience working with technical HR systems and software (HRIS, PEOs, Lattice a plus) and implementation experience
- Experience with managing HR processes in multiple countries. (Canada or Europe is a plus)
