CLA, one of the nation's largest public accounting and professional services firm is currently seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our growing Enterprise Business Solutions Team

As a Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our applications and systems perform optimally under varying workloads and environments. You will work closely with development teams, quality assurance engineers, architects, and operations to identify non-functional requirements, target transaction throughputs, and resolve performance issues while optimizing system performance. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of performance testing methodologies and tools, as well as experience in performance tuning, profiling, and analysis in for native AWS or Azure applications.

Essential Job Functions

The below functions reflect the general details of the essential work activities and accountabilities of this position and are not all inclusive. Other activities may be assigned.

• Conduct performance testing and analysis for applications and systems to ensure optimal performance. Identify performance bottlenecks and develop strategies to address them.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to identify and resolve performance issues and implement performance improvements.
• Develop and implement performance testing plans and methodologies.
• Monitor system performance metrics and develop strategies to optimize performance and capacity.
• Participate in the design and development of new systems and features to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain automated performance testing frameworks and scripts.
• Conduct load testing and stress testing to ensure that IT systems can handle high traffic and heavy usage.
• Document performance test results and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop performance metrics and KPIs to measure the performance of IT systems and applications.
• Create reports and dashboards to communicate performance data to stakeholders.
• Participate in the development of best practices and standards for performance engineering.
• Work with project managers to ensure that performance testing is included in the software development lifecycle.
• Keep up to date with the latest performance testing tools and technique

Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in performance engineering, including performance testing and tuning.
• Strong analytical and the ability to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Education

• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of experience, education and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
