Job Description

We are seeking a Performance Tester to work on the GeFa system for the German Ministry of Justice. This role focuses on performance testing for backend modules using JMeter. You will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving performance issues that impact the system. As part of a critical project, you will be testing core modules that handle significant backend processing tasks.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Conduct performance testing on backend modules using JMeter.
• Develop and maintain test scripts to evaluate the system's performance.
• Identify and address bugs in the system that are blocking further testing.
• Ensure that the major functionalities of each module are thoroughly tested to meet performance standards.
• Collaborate closely with German-speaking developers to discuss technical requirements and issues.
• Take ownership of performance testing strategy, including defining, planning, and executing performance test cases.
• Perform API testing and work with API-related tasks, ensuring integration with other systems and modules.
• Utilize SQL for database validation and performance-related queries.
• Work independently from the Scrum team but align closely with other project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• Speak German - B2
• Are proficient in JMeter for performance and load testing.
• Have strong analytical skills to identify performance bottlenecks and potential issues in backend systems.
• Have experience in SQL for database queries and analysis.
• Are able to write and execute test cases.
• Have experience with API testing and understanding API behavior and performance.
• Have strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Are able to communicate effectively with a German-speaking developer team.
• Have experience in taking ownership of testing processes, with a focus on improving system performance.​​​​​​​

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2600€ /brutto.
