We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior PHP Developer (LAMP stack) to join our delivery team. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining PHP-based web applications and databases that are crucial to our organization's success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to coding standards and best practices. This role requires a strong foundation in PHP development, SQL experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

• Web Application Development: Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications and APIs that deliver seamless user experiences.
• Backend Development: Implement server-side logic for data processing, authentication, and authorization. Work on server configurations and deploy web applications on appropriate hosting environments.
• Security: Implement security measures to protect sensitive data, prevent SQL injection attacks, and ensure the overall security of web applications.
• Integration: Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality and data exchange.
• Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, and response times through code optimizations and caching strategies.
• Documentation: Create technical documentation, including system specifications, technical designs, and user guides, to assist team members and end-users.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions on time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a PHP developer, with strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (e.g Laravel, CodeIgniter) and MySQL databases.
• Extensive, demonstrable experience and expertise with developing database-driven web applications using PHP and MySQL in a Linux environment.
• LAMP Stack experience is required.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX, SQL, and shell scripting.
• Capability to get around the Linux shell, including basic shell commands and using vi, emacs, or something similar.
• Proficiency in SQL queries, database design, and optimization.
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Primary Location Pay Range: $128,000 - $163,000 per year
