As a Senior Physics Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of physicists, chemists, and materials engineers to help the business execute on commitments to customers and internal stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining common physics and materials design processes that drive consistency and help ensure good first-pass yield of physics and material engineering designs
- Leading collaboration efforts with other divisions of Precision Sensors and Instrumentation (PSI), controlled title holders, and other discipline managers with the goal of establishing best-in-class design processes
- Leading the development of new design practices for specific product designs and maintaining existing design practices to ensure they reflect lessons learnt and any changes to the design envelope with associated impact
- Driving a culture of high performance by implementing relevant output metrics, focusing on say/do ratio, coaching, and dealing decisively with underperformance.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Physics from an accredited college or university
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience leading large engineering teams
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience performing complex physics design and analysis.
- Be able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally 10% of the time
Desired Characteristics
- Master's degree in Physics
- 5+ years of experience leading large engineering teams
- Nuclear and/or detector physics experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage the needs of a team and individuals, including performance management
- Familiarity with physics modelling software such as ANSYS Maxwell, MCNP, GEANT, Garfield++, and Zmax.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP system
- Results-oriented self-starter with a track record of delivering results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels
- Experience operating in a matrix structure
- Familiarity with shared services team structures
