The Team: The Finance team at Kraken is a group of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity capital and risk and providing the overall financial controls and reporting functions for executive decision making compliance and audit readiness. Our work contributes directly to Kraken’s success.

The Platform Accounting team within the Finance organization is responsible for financial accounting and reporting on a variety of products and transactions including fiat digital assets futures margin options and other new company initiatives. In addition the Platform Accounting team oversees OTC operation serving high-networth individuals and financial institutional clients.

We are seeking a Sr. Platform Operations Analyst I who will work closely with your Finance and Accounting leadership cohorts as well as business partners to plan implement improve automate test and ensure the Platform Accounting team produces complete and accurate financial data for management improves the quality of our financial statements and boosts our audit readiness. Join an elite Finance team to drive improvements and automation for all internal processes. What You'll Do

• Interface daily with internal systems and our proprietary exchange platform to assist with fiat and digital asset position reconciliations across our various banks and crypto wallets

• Promptly research and correct discrepancies and communicating actions to the appropriate stakeholders

• Lead on reconciliation and accounting for a variety of products and transactions including fiat digital assets futures staking margin options and other new company initiatives coming down the pipeline

• Independently manage and develop current reconciliation processes for greater efficiency and transparency and analyzing data against business drivers to identify issues and trends

• Communicate and facilitate break resolution between our OTC desks Treasury Developers Data Scientists and Finance including making journal entries as necessary

• Provide support for internal and external audits

• Participate in ad hoc reporting requests

Skills you 'HODL'

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field

• 3+ years of accounting/audit experience from the Big 4 or national accounting firms

• Industry experience in financial services fintech broker-dealer banking or exchange is preferred

• Knowledge of US GAAP and experience with SOX

• Collaborative innovative flexible and adept at building relationships across the organization

• Ability to handle and lead multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced dynamic environment

• Microsoft Excel proficiency including pivot tables H & V-Lookup

Additional skill sets:

• CPA in good standing

• Experience or knowledge with cryptocurrency

• Experience and knowledge with SQL

• Experience with high volume transactions

• Experience using an ERP system such Netsuite
