ABOUT THIS ROLE
Join our Apex Platform Sust aining Engineering team as a Senior Platform Engineer, where you will play a vital role in improving and maintaining the functionality, reliability, and safety of our Software development toolkit. Your day-to-day activities may involve collaborative system design and development, and exploring innovative technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced developers in building robust, high-volume, and high-availability platform systems that drive the Apex ecosystem and modern investment applications forward.
Duties / Responsibilities

• Automation and Integration: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployments and configurations. Integrate API solutions with CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process. Contribute to infrastructure automation efforts to support the deployment and management of our services.
• Code Quality Assurance: Uphold well-tested code standards and promote high code quality across the team through meticulous code reviews and adherence to best practices.
• Documentation and Training: Ensure proper documentation, guidelines, and best practices for your services. Participate in training sessions to ensure teams understand and follow best practices effectively.
• Monitoring and Optimization: M onitor the performance and reliability of our services, identifying bottlenecks and potential issues and perform on-call support. Assist in the optimization of infrastructure to ensure efficient delivery.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between engineering activities and business goals. Assist in communicating updates, enhancements, and changes to relevant teams. Participate in post-implementation reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Devops , or Site Reliability Engineer
• Experience with Build and CI/CD tools (Bazel, ArgoCD, Github Actions)
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience working with modern database systems (e.g. Bigquery, Postgres, Mongo, Redis, etc)

Required Skills/Abilities

• ​ Knowledge of API management methodologies, security practices, and traffic management strategies.
• A DevSecOps mindset and a driving desire to deliver value through software.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
