📐 About this role 

Writer is looking for a senior platform engineer. At Writer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge AI platform. Your expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable software solutions will be instrumental in ensuring the platform's reliability, performance, and security. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to drive innovation and deliver high-quality features that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

You'll report to the Senior director of infrastructure.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable software systems for Writer's AI platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and data scientists, to ensure seamless integration of platform components.

• Lead and mentor junior platform engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing technologies.

• Continuously monitor and optimize platform performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for software development, security, and reliability.

• Contribute to the development of new features and functionalities for the Writer platform.

• Document and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, and design specifications

⭐️ Is this you? 

• 8 +Years of experience in software and devops engineering

• 3+ professional experience working with developing, and maintaining software for Azure platforms

• Your professional experience includes the following: 

  • Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and DevOps practices

  • Data loss prevention, cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance

  • Business continuity planning

  • Kubernetes and management tools like ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform

  • Firewalls, web-application firewalls, and load balancers

  • Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Github Actions

  • Coding with languages like Bash and Python 

  • Creating technical documentation and training new engineers

• You have: 

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, log analysis, and performance tuning

  • Well-developed understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and containerization technologies

  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Willingness to take on challenging projects and work under pressure

• You might have: :

  • Multiple cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS and Azure)

  • Postgres

  • Jira, Confluence or Atlssian

  • BigTable, and/or BigQuery

  • SaaS/Enterprise SaaS
