The role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and performance. You will apply SRE best practices, optimize code, automate processes, and manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud systems. Leading key platform projects, you'll deliver solutions aligned with company goals and help transition the system from monolithic to microservices architecture while solving complex multi-component system problems.

Where you'll work

To be considered for this position, you must be located in the US. You can choose to work remotely or from our offices in Austin or Dallas.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing cross-team applications, performing coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
• Driving large-scale architectural changes to transition monolithic applications to microservices, ensuring scalability, modularity, and improved fault tolerance across distributed systems.
• Architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure to support the deployment and operation of applications and services.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve current projects and infrastructure, advocating for and implementing enhancements, introducing new tools and technologies, and promoting best practices in platform development and operations.
• Implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate provisioning, scaling, and management of cloud resources.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering with the PHP stack, including Laravel.
• 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or a similar technical role.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automation tools to ensure seamless application delivery.
• Basic knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles and practices, including incident management, performance monitoring, and resilience engineering.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex system and infrastructure issues.
