This notice is issued under direct-hire authority in response to the Creating ful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act of 2022 for which NIST has a critical hiring need.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 (ZA-IV at NIST) level. Specialized experience is defined as:

- Demonstrated acumen for conducting complex analyses, supporting strategic planning, and advising decision-makers
- Experience analyzing complex market supply chains and managing risks, ideally for the semiconductor industry and its supportive upstream supplier ecosystem
-Experience preparing and providing executive briefings within professional settings and engaging with industry executives including C-suite
- Demonstrated ability to organize and lead large and small teams on evaluating multiple projects across a variety of upstream semiconductor supply segments (e.g. high-purity chemicals, subcomponents, etc).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
