What is the opportunity?

The purpose of this position is to support Wealth Management U.S. (WM-U.S.) in its management of policies and procedures. The Senior Policy Analyst will be responsible for management of policies and procedures in accordance with Enterprise and regulatory requirements.

What will you do?

  • Manage the WM-U.S. policies and procedures library, including assisting policy owners with drafting content as needed, obtaining approvals, publishing policies and procedures, and ensuring ongoing policy reviews in accordance with Enterprise and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Business Risk Oversight ownership of select firm-wide policies and procedures.
  • Participate in select firm projects and initiatives to help identify policy and procedure impacts and assist policy owners with making policy and procedure updates as needed.
  • Advise and support policy owners and other stakeholders with respect to policy management and policy ownership requirements and processes.
  • Establish and maintain resources to support policy owners with respect to their responsibilities.
  • Facilitate policy and procedure communications and change management.
  • Organize and maintain policies and procedures library utilizing Enterprise policy management software and other WM-U.S. resources.
  • Assist the Law Group and Compliance in responding to regulatory requests and other legal and compliance inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk Policy within Group Risk Management to ensure adherence to Enterprise minimum standards for policy and procedure management.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and initiatives related to other areas of business risk, including with respect to policy exceptions.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in policy management, risk management, compliance or similar within wealth management or comparable business
  • 5-7 years of experience in large and complex financial services organizations
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in organizational skills, including the ability to build consensus, influence, and drive coordination, communication, negotiation, and projects across businesses and platforms to achieve expected results
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and diplomatic approach to encourage action and obtain information effectively
  • Action oriented and takes initiative properly
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective in new, ambiguous, unfamiliar situations with limited direction
  • Highly organized, flexible and excel at prioritizing and meeting deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Strong team orientation with focus on team success

Nice-to-have

  • MBA, JD or other advanced degree
  • Series 7 and 66 exams or willingness to obtain
  • Thorough knowledge of wealth management products and services, processes and organization
