Senior Power System Engineer

Overview

Electric Power Engineers, LLC (Austin, TX) seeks Senior Power Systems Engineer. Research, design, develop, and test electrical equipment, components, and models for power systems interconnection planning. Develop conventional and renewable generation facility models. Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and assessing grid capacity. Prepare and submit utility-scale generation interconnection applications for developers. Represent clients' interests at industry forums and stakeholder meetings. Provide technical training to Power Systems Engineers and Interns. Req: M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related/equivalent. One year as a Power Systems Engineer or related. One year of experience with PSSE, PowerWorld, and ASPEN required. Licensure not required. Telecommuting allowed. Incidental travel to client sites and conferences up to 10% of the time.
