Senior Pricing Analyst
Job Description
The key role of the North America Senior Pricing Analyst is to assist in the implementation of our pricing strategy that will enable the business to maximize profitability from sales while continuing to drive growth. This role will provide guidance to the sales team and suggest pricing opportunities to optimize margin as well as participate in gross margin improvement initiatives.
This role will report directly to the North America Strategic Pricing & Profit Leader.
The responsibilities of this position generally fall into 3 categories:
- Pricing Strategy
- Analysis & Insights
- Execution
This role will provide cross-functional support to develop & execute on the pricing strategy for all ADI products lines using pricing optimization and strategic price list setting using best in class cloud software. Implement key pricing policies & strategies including the development of optimized customer prices for products across various product lines. Facilitate pricing programs by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance across the organization. Perform data analysis to support ad hoc pricing and profitability projects focused on increasing overall company profitability.
PRICING STRATEGY:
- Execute ADI's strategic pricing strategy to improve gross margin performance - analyze, communicate and execute on these strategies.
- Implement strategic price lists of 200,000 products from over 1,000 manufacturers to a customer base of over 70,000 customers.
- Provide negotiated pricing recommendations (Guidance), through analytical software, monitor impact and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor competitive and marketplace changes and adjust pricing accordingly to capture and maintain maximum value.
- Ensure price changes are effectively implemented, communicated & monitored to ensure they are optimized.
ANALYSIS AND INSIGHTS:
- Develop and drive the analytical solutions to improve pricing, profit and other strategic initiatives within the company.
- Create and automate diagnostic reporting to understand drivers to daily, weekly, monthly trends and root cause analysis.
- Develop new data feeds that expand overall visibility into internal and external drivers of profitability.
- Communicate and correct transactional price leakage, opportunity, FX variations and price waterfall analysis to identify areas of opportunity.
- Create monthly/quarterly financial reporting metrics to track margin improvement from current plans being executed.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Candidates will have knowledge of strategic pricing models within a B2B wholesale distribution environment.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the Pricing, Analytical or a Strategic Function.
- Any new hire for this position must be vaccinated for COVID-19 by their start date with Resideo, subject to any prohibitions or exceptions under state or local law.
