This is a fast paced, high impact role in the Pricing Analytics organization where a seasoned analyst will have the opportunity to turn data into action and drive revenue/margin acceleration for the company.Job Description:
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Provide holistic recommendations and thought leadership to the Global Pricing team on pricing optimizations that can drive meaningful financial impact for PayPal
- Perform deep-dive analytics including Cohort analysis, Pre-Post analysis, Sensitivity analysis, and other Ad-hoc exercises as required
- Develop business-friendly reporting tools and dashboards to monitor business health, analyze trends and track KPIs
- Develop financial models to articulate the value of new initiatives, changes to existing initiatives, and process improvements.
- Drive strong collaboration with other teams (especially finance) to ensure alignment of data, views, and metrics
Job Requirements
Looking for a seasoned analytics professional (4+ years of analytics) with leadership traits, a strong quantitative background, and keen business acumen to join the pricing analytics team. Must have excellent analytical skills, including the ability to query databases, sort through complex data to crystallize business implications, and drive value for the business. The candidate will also have experience turning vast amounts of data into user-friendly tools/reports that enable others to easily gather business insights. A logical thought process and a strategic vision with attention to detail are critical. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in at least one programming language (SQL/R/Python) and should also be comfortable working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker. Must be capable of working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, and be able to communicate technically intricate concepts/results in business terms. Prior experience with e-commerce, payments, or pricing a plus.
