Job Summary
The Senior Pricing Analyst will report to the Director of Strategic Pricing. This individual will work cross-functionally to propose and manage global pricing and packaging to accelerate our business model, provide clear value to our customers, and deliver long-term growth and profitability to the company. This individual will work with complex data sets to determine optimal pricing models and is a key strategic area of importance to us and the future success of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply analytical rigor to the analysis of the company's pricing strategies including bundling, discounts, and partner programs
- Optimize sales, profit, and customer segment penetration across product categories and channels
- Research and understand competitive offering pricing, and discount structures, and help build promotions
- Create and refine pricing models for new and existing products
- Collaborate closely with sales & product management to understand the product positioning, and product usage and review pricing models and changes
- Use a hypothesis-driven approach to develop business cases that align pricing and packaging with customer value and to drive growth
- Establish and monitor key metrics and improve performance on an ongoing basis
- Oversee development of metrics and dashboards that monitor price performance and empower sales and marketing departments to deliver results
- Develop a deep understanding of customer segments, competitor offerings, and market trends
- Partner across the company’s product, sales, and marketing teams to deliver recommendations and analyses which drive growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or business and 5-8 years of pricing experience
- Software business or pricing experience, ideally Security, SaaS, or Cloud Platforms
- Strong analysis skills using analytical tools such as Excel and SQL
- Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional teams and building effective
- Effective in communicating complex ideas or concepts in a clear, concise, and understandable manner across different levels of the organization, both verbal and written
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work in a structured/ systematic way
- Self-Starter who is proactive and motivated with a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
