Analog IC Design Engineer
The Power and Signal Conversion business group within Nexperia is seeking an experienced Analog IC Design Engineer with a strong background in analog and mixed signal IC design. The design engineer will be responsible for leading project teams through the IC development process from inception to release. Familiarity with power converters and the challenges of power design is a plus. This position requires strong communication skills and leadership qualities. The selected individual will assume a senior technical contributor role with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with a diverse team.

The Power and Signal Conversion Business Group is a newly formed organization within an established semiconductor company, operating in a new product space from the company's core businesses. This organization provides an opportunity to work on cutting edge products in Power and Power Management including DC/DC and AC/DC converters, high voltage isolation, battery chargers, linear regulators, nano power products, display power products and more.
Responsibilities Include:
Operate as a team leader to drive product designs to production
Interface with team members and customers to understand system level problems and the tradeoffs in the IC implementation
Develop chip architecture and design transistor level circuits to specification
Be able to partition design and delegate sub block designs and tasks to other design team members
Work with test, systems and system validation engineers to ensure and appropriate and effective product test and evaluation
Interface across different functional groups such as systems, applications, test, silicon validation, etc. to ensure product is realized as defined and end product fits customer's needs
Build relationships with internal team and external customers by closely interacting with them to identify and solve system problems
Required Qualifications:
A strong background in analog design and power electronics
A thorough understanding of semiconductor device physics and advanced node BCD process technologies
Strong familiarity with EDA design tools such as Cadance, and the overall analog/mixed signal tool flow
Experience developing and evaluating modulation schemes for switching power supplies
Experience using modeling tools such as Simplis/Simetrix, Matlab, or Mathcad
Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
