• Research and investigate industry trends and opportunities to identify business development opportunities in support of Discover’s strategy.
• Support special projects related to developing organic and inorganic growth strategies and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Discover leadership to identify and develop target opportunities.
• Analyze a portfolio of opportunities by managing a robust acquisition and or investment process, including creation of business case / deal models, deal rationale, supporting due diligence, transaction structuring and commercial partnerships.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional internal teams and external resources to manage the acquisition and or investment process, and required due diligence; actively manage a portfolio of existing investments.
• Develop presentation materials and communicate the opportunity, transaction process, and recommendations to leadership.

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years experience with M&A, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Corporate Finance or Transaction Advisory or related experience
• In lieu of a degree, 12+ years in M&A, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Corporate Finance or Transaction Advisory or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
