Department Summary:

L140 is seeking a senior principal engineer to lead our division's digital engineering and analysis strategy and work. This position will be a technical leader in the field who has demonstrated real-world impact in the domain and is looked to across MITRE as a subject matter expert capable of executing, leading, and shaping work in digital engineering and analysis. This position will also serve as L140's liaison to the broader MITRE DE community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Primary L140 Subject Matter Expert in digital engineering modeling and analysis.
• Serve as the architect and guide for how L140's models, simulations, and analysis can work with the DE toolchain and platform being developed across MITRE.
• Shape work in the area of digital engineering and system analysis.
• Develop and mature L140's DE capabilities around analysis phases of systems engineering
• Serve as the voice of L140 in guiding the evolution of DE at MITRE
• Help prioritize and direct resources for L140 investments in DE.
• Educate systems engineers across MITRE about L140's simulation and analysis capabilities, how they can be integrated with the current platform for analysis, and educate L140 about how they can better tailor their work for DE use.
• Active external engagement with Industry and academia.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated mastery of common digital engineering tools and processes
• Demonstrated history shaping work in the DE field
• Deep understanding of how MITRE's sponsors are using DE
• TS Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional recognition in the field
• Experience teaching and developing courses in the field
• TS//SCI clearance
