Functional Title - Senior Principal, Infrastructure Engineer

BNY Mellon Asset Servicing provides global solutions tailored to meet our clients' unique needs to help enhance the management, administration and oversight of their entire investment process and deliver the tools they need to expand their ability to process, monitor and measure investment data from around the world.

Clearing, Markets, Issuer Services & Treasury Technology (CMIST) Production Services is responsible for application support for critical business systems, including Repo Edge (collateral management), Enterprise Payment Hub (multi-currency payment processing), and Broker Dealer Clearance (securities clearing), along with 350+ other applications. We are engineers of patented innovations and award-winning financial technologies used by high-priority BNY Mellon Investment Services businesses and their clients-supporting Clearance & Collateral Management, Markets, Treasury Services and Issuer Services, as well as providing technology oversight for international growth and regulatory compliance.

Role Description :

• Provides input into Infrastructure Engineering strategy and plans for a domain or function within the engineering field.
• Knowledgeable in the field including tools and technologies.
• Responsible to run strategies and initiatives within infrastructure engineering.
• Responsible for solving complex infrastructure problems.
• Assess the effectiveness of the organization's existing infrastructure technology and tools, makes, and implements recommendations to ensure infrastructure environment is secure, efficient and update standards -enhancing the reliability, Resiliency and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.
• Leads and ensures proper execution of companywide project plans and performance requirements for all stages/phases through advice and influencing stake holders, clients, and leaders of BNY Mellon's organization.
• This person is a subject matter expert in several of the tools/technologies used in the space.
• Leads the development infrastructure engineering growth strategies and initiatives.
• Leads initiatives to analyze complex infrastructure problems to be solved with advanced design.
• Leads the evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization's existing infrastructure technology and tools.
• Analyzes trends to develop strategy for the implementation of upgrades that will enhance the reliability, Resiliency and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.
• Provides leadership to execute project plans and performance requirements for all stages/phases through the management of human capital resources.
• Works closely with external vendor, internal partners, and business teams to find solutions to major infrastructure and tool problems.
• Provides input into the selection of vendors to assist with systems administration or application issues.
• Uses broad IT knowledge to direct strategy in ensuring infrastructure is designed to best accommodate the development and testing processes.
• Acts as escalation point for major incidents, leads and participates in their resolution.
• Leads strategy to increase automation across the organization.
• Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree is beneficial.
• 12-15 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
