Senior Principal Site Reliability Engineer

Do you own the drive to constantly raise the site reliability bar to improve how Nuance delivers our DAX portfolio of products? Are you oriented towards action, capable of time slicing based on rapidly adjusting priorities? Have you created formal peer and management networks involving coordination among disparate stakeholder groups? Do you independently design and socialize technical configuration and security improvements and are sought out to help teams?
Nuance is looking for a high EQ individual contributor having broad expertise and unique cloud native site reliability and compliance knowledge, who uses skills honed over at least 12 years to contribute to execution of strategic DAX product objectives and principles and to achieve site reliability objectives in creative and low friction ways.
Responsibilities:

• Our Sr. Principal SRE will manage and overcome barriers to entry such as technical committee reviews, in a collaborative, persuasive way
• Working on significant and technical projects/issues and exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• They are a self-starter and will work on multiple deliverables with dynamic schedules, to support.
• Site Reliability excellence through repeatable automation pipelines and refine defined approaches to operations, such as security and Azure infrastructure.
• Engineer various tools, systems and infrastructure that enables cloud native monitoring, continuous integration, site reliability capabilities of the Security, Compliance, and privacy domains of the DAX services stack.
• Implements the Security and Site Reliability life cycle which automates the documented processes and environments .

Technical Skills:

• 10+ year in securing / operating large-scale production systems in the Cloud (GCP, Azure)
• Experience working as a Principal Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role operating a highly scalable and distributed platform.
• Experience with scripting language like Python, PowerShell etc.
• Build and Perform Failure injection testing into the dev/test cycles which enable quality, site reliability, and prioritize service availability, Performance, Capacity, Security and Compliance. By designing various SRE integrations, CI/CD pipelines, systems and Azure infrastructure that enables the delivery of products and solutions on our Azure cloud platform.

Education:

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant work experience
